Wessex Company
This Company has members from a wide area roughly bounded by Gloucester and Bridgwater in the North, Torquay in the South, and Southampton in the East and including Knights in Taunton, Chard and Starcross. The large area makes meeting in person quite difficult, and Zoom has not suited everyone, but the Company held an in person meeting in May 2024.
This Company set up a ‘Tea and Cake’ Zoom during Covid which still continues once a month and is open to all who wish to come. This has included on occasions Knights from Germany and Bangladesh.
For over 30 years the Company ran a post Easter Camelot at The Abbey House, Glastonbury. Sadly the Abbey House closed as a Retreat House in 2018 but, after meeting at Hill House, Otterhampton, near Bridgwater in April 2023, the Company believes it has now found a settled home for their Camelot and will hold their third Camelot there after Easter in April 2025.
Through this Company we have quite close links with the Corrymeela Community in Northern Ireland
